(Room: 209) Stayed here for two nights to visit Londonderry, the hotel was busy but welcoming and our room comfortable. However, sadly realised we were facing a main road and the traffic noise was constant which affected our sleep and we were unable to have the window open due to this which made the room stuffy. We were a disappointed with the restaurant as although the meals were satisfactory, they were not great as we had experienced in hotels of the same chain. The staff, although mostly helpful and attentive, seemed inexperienced (younger staff) and we had great difficulty on one evening getting the bill correct (3 attempts). The breakfasts in the restaurant were poor, the cooked selection was luke warm and the continental did not look fresh at all. Overall, disappointed and will not be returning. Compared to other hotels in the Hastings chain e.g. Ballygally Castle Hotel.

Stayed here for two nights it s mean to be 4 * I would give it a 3 maybe, there was 2 cartons water in room my husband went to open one to take his pill it had been open and water was out off it, not happy at all with this also went to bar on the 11 th night for food said we could not have food for over an hour as t bus tour where in , we are also guests. After me complaining they said we could get food. Breakfast was not included in a price of £200 for 2 nights I paid £48 for breakfast for the two mornings for both of us, food very poor first day hot food was cold porridge was awful. Long story I would not recommend this hotel. Rooms: Only 2 plugs in a big room nowhere to charge your phone beside the bed also there was a review card in a drawer from may 24 so obviously had not been cleaned. Walkability: You na car in the middle of nowhere Food and drinks: Breakfast was awful Noteworthy details: Nothing at all old fashioned not worth the money

I can only speak to the quality of the service and food as I have never stayed in the hotel. Previously (I believe under a different manager) if you attended the Sunday Carvery there was free childrens entertainment provided - this is no longer the case. The food is still of a good quality but the addition of the childrens entertainment was a significant draw as well. The bar food offering is excellent as well (including the constant top class service of F). There are a lot of young staff, great to see people getting a start/chance but I feel a little time could be invested in the training of these new starts - it would be to the benefit of the hotel and the wider industry. All in all a decent hotel.

I was attending a tattoo convention in the main ballroom on the weekend 26th to 28th July 2024 as I have done for many years. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and spotless and the staff are brilliant. My only gripe is the price of the food and drink and the quality of the food that was on special offer) for the convention. Burger and chips Veg curry with chips or rice Chicken goujons and chips All £10.00 and served in a small plastic tray. The burger and chips that I bought were absolutely disgusting. The chips were very under cooked, soft and freezing and the burger had been sitting in a heated tray for who knows how long and was incredibly dry and tasteless. For a company as world renowned as the Hilton this was not acceptable at all , and as for the price of alcohol WOW. Pint of beer £10 Glass of wine £9.90 Bottle of beer £6 Diluted juice £2.50 Absolute madness. All these things were detrimental to the show being a success and it drove the attendant away.

We booked again about a month ago, expecting a great experience as before - but the room was such a let down, the window seal had perished there was a terrible draught from it and the road noise was bad, although the room wasnt on the main road side of the hotel - the receptionist smiled periodically at me when I was trying to explain the situation. The other room they showed us was just as bad! We checked out and booked into another hotel altogether. Needless to say, we have booked another hotel for our stay in February and didnt even try The Everglades in case we were disappointed again! ***************** We had a great stay Friday to Saturday in a Junior Suite, Leanne on Reception was great and so helpful, approachable and knowledgeable in relation to the hotel - I was disappointed there was no duck!
